Kippilaw House is a fabulous dream mansion in very private setting, secluded by it's own enchanting woodland. The house as it stands today incorporates the original 15th century tower with a large georgian frontage in the palladium style.

All the original features have been kept or lovingly restored to their former glory by the current owners. The house has all the luxuries of home with the beauty of a historical country house. Our aim is to make it our guests feel as comfortable as possible with a homely atmosphere surrounded by beauty and elegance. Kippilaw will be exclusively your house, and with flexibility as our motto, we will go out of our way to grant your every wish and make your stay a delight.

With a range of conference rooms plus a magnificent ballroom with antique bar and elegant dining room, this is an extremely flexible venue. Kippilaw House can cope with needs ranging from simple syndicate rooms to larger conferences. Bookings range from board meetings for 10, up to events for up to 200. More info.


 

GONE FISHING

The Tweed, alongside the River Nith, can boast the longest season of any Salmon River in this country. The season begins on the 1st of February and runs right through to the 30th of November, with fishing available from Monday through to Saturday (no Sunday fishing). More info.
MELROSE THE HOME OF RUGBY
